So excited to announce our new record coming out this December! This is just a teaser track, the rest will be available soon from #strictlynocapitalletters records in the UK and #driftwoodrecords here in the US.
We’d like to thank our dear friend Bob Cooper, who recorded, mixed, mastered and lent inspiration to this record! Look out for all of us shredding the UK with Bob on bass this December. (Dates to follow).
Last guitar track of the record. Went all out and put the Soldano through a Musicman 4x12 and Marshall 8x10 @recording #mixing #recordingstudio #recordingengineer #troubledsleep
While grabbing Potty Mouth’s fantastic new EP (more on that later!) from Puzzle Pieces on Friday I noticed another new record from a band called Troubled Sleep—I grabbed that, too. Little did I know it would be the only thing I would listen to all weekend long. Troubled Sleep make darkened and heartfelt punk-informed pop songs that are quite simply KILLING ME right now. As for references: think Simple Machines Records, think Electrelane, think, perhaps, early Rainer Maria with more of a croon than a yell. So basically, an almost perfect sound to these particular ears. They have another equally great 7” out previous on Ripe Records, so you’re gonna want to grab that, too.
I made a zine this summer for the first time. It is photographed above and I have a whole box of them. Hand written, illustrated, and held together by two lovingly placed staples, within I dramatically discuss a few things I don’t like, two records I do like, reveal my deepest, darkest secret, and more. If you’d like one, please do not hesitate to message me with your name and address. Paypal $2 to firstname.lastname@example.org to assure that you will receive a copy.
The texted reviews are in!!!
mom: LILA YOUR ZINE PAMPHLET IS SOOO GOOD! you left envelope open. You are a writer!

mom: Yep sorry but dont know why I cant read it. And love the graphics!
(She is not sorry and the envelope was not open)
